This Wednesday morning (October 21.10st) was dedicated to tactical training at the George Helal Training Center. After the session led by Oswaldo de Oliveira, César Martins spoke to the press. The defender lamented the recent results in the Brazilian Championship, but assured that the group will spare no effort in their quest for a spot in the Libertadores Cup.
"We've been playing good games, but unfortunately we haven't been able to score goals, like against Internacional. As long as there's a chance of finishing in the top four, we want to fight for it and we will," he said.
The defender also commented on Flamengo's next challenge in the national championship. Aware that it will be a tough match, César Martins believes it could be a good opportunity to showcase the team's quality.
"Every game is important, and the game against Corinthians will be no different. Defeats are unsettling. Corinthians is a good team, but so is ours. We're going to play them on equal terms. It's time to show what we're capable of," he concluded.
