Juliana Vieira is a passionate young Mengão fan. And like any true fanatic, she dreams of stepping onto the field with the athletes at the Maracanã. Born and raised in Mesquita, Baixada Fluminense, Juliana discovered she had leukemia, a bone marrow cancer, nine months ago and has been receiving treatment at Pedro Ernesto University Hospital in Vila Isabel, in the North Zone of Rio de Janeiro.
With her 15th birthday approaching - she will turn another year old on September 25th - Juliana asked her best friend's mother, Nathalia Moura, for a gift: to celebrate with fans at the Flamengo vs. Cruzeiro game. With that, the "Ju no Maraca" campaign was created on social media, which caught the attention of Flamengo defender Chiquinho. This Friday (12), the athlete visited the young red-black and gave her a Sacred Mantle as a gift.
