Guerrero made peace with the nets in the 2-0 victory over Atlético-MG on Wednesday night (27). But another character in the game also made a difference and contributed directly to the positive result in Flamengo's debut in the Primeira Liga: Marcelo Cirino. The number 7 came off the bench in the 18th minute of the first half, coming on in place of Gabriel, and needed just four minutes to provide a precise assist for the Peruvian's first goal.

Satisfied with the result, Cirino also didn't hide his happiness at seeing his teammate score again after a drought that lasted about five months.

"Guerrero is our goalscorer and we're happy now that he's scoring again. A guy like him can't go without scoring goals," he said as he left the pitch.

After the good performance, Cirino also said that the team's formation is at Muricy Ramalho's discretion, but that he trains to earn his place among the starters.

"I think the team was already doing well when I came in. The second half was more open and we were able to take better advantage of our opportunities. I'm working on playing, but the coach is the one who decides. I hope we can have a great year and help Flamengo achieve its goals," he concluded.
