After the classic match at MaracanãFlamengo striker Marcelo Cirino spoke to the press and lamented Sunday's defeat (May 31.05). According to the number 7, Flamengo could have won the game with more shots on goal. "We spent too much time playing the ball into the box, and Fluminense's defense was well-organized. We lacked finishing from long and medium range. We need to work more with the coach, adapt to his style, and try to win games," he stated.

Cirino only came on in the second half. "I had a conversation with the coach and we opted for me to come on at halftime or during the second half, depending on the need. Unfortunately, I'm coming off an injury, but now with the games I think I'll find my ideal rhythm," he revealed. The striker also praised coach Cristóvão Borges. "He's very calm, very relaxed, and he likes the team to always look for the goal, and that's what we'll try to do in training and in games."

Flamengo returns to training and will begin training this Monday (June 01.06st) at 15:30 PM. The team will face Cruzeiro this Wednesday (June 03.06rd) at 22 PM.
