Classic against Vasco motivates the red-blacks

After two weeks and four games in the Brazilian Championship, Flamengo's players had a Monday off before beginning preparations for Sunday's (August 01.08st) derby against Vasco at the Maracanã. With their batteries recharged, the red-and-blacks know they will need to work hard to arrive in good condition to play a great game against their rival.
Young striker Diego Maurício, accustomed to facing Vasco in the youth teams, will be playing his first Clássico dos Milhões as a professional and can't wait to get on the field.
"This break was important. We needed to rest a little. Now it's time to get back to work, train hard, because we know that a derby, especially against Vasco, is very important for us," he said.
The three points earned against Cruzmaltino are the same as any other match in the Brasileirão, however, the motivation that comes from a victory against Vasco is different. And the Flamengo players know this.
"Every derby is different. It's important to win games like this. We saw that in the match against Botafogo. Now we have another opportunity and we'll work hard this week to get the win," Diego added.
This Tuesday (27.07), the Flamengo team will return at 15 pm in Gávea to begin work with an eye on the classic.
