One of the most experienced players in the squad and team captain, defender Fábio Luciano, assured that the team has been preparing to play a great game and deserve a victory over the black and whites.

"In training and on the streets, we've already felt the atmosphere of decision. We feel that the fans trust the team and that we'll have their full support on Sunday. We're dedicating ourselves in training to play a great game and win the title," the player commented, dismissing any red-and-black favoritism. "Whether we're favorites or not, we have to show it on the field."

Fábio Luciano participated normally in this morning's training session in Gávea. The heavy blow to his right elbow won't keep him out of Sunday's final.

"I have no fear of playing. If I'm training, it's because I have the doctors' approval and I know I'll be able to play normally against Botafogo," he assured.
