The World Cup atmosphere isn't just in South Africa, where the competition is taking place. Fans across Brazil are showing their passion for the Brazilian national team, and Flamengo is no exception. Whenever possible, players are watching Dunga's team and other matches.

"I think the best defenders in the World Cup are Brazilians. Aside from Lúcio and Juan, I'd put two or three other defenders among the best. I have a lot of faith in Brazil, especially because of their solid defense. The team concedes few goals and has a very balanced approach," said Ronaldo Angelim, who confesses his passion for the World Cup.
"I'm watching the games like everyone else. It's only during training that we can't stay tuned to the TV. I think the World Cup is very interesting, with teams considered weaker surprising the so-called powerful ones," he analyzed.
And while the goal scorer of the sixth World Cup is expected to be in good shape, for midfielder Petkovic the situation is completely different. He saw his country eliminated last Wednesday (June 23.06), even though, according to him, it showed potential to advance in the World Cup.
"It was sad. Serbia played well in the first half. They had the game in hand, they were better, superior, and it was exactly what I was expecting. After the performance against Germany, they started to depend solely on their own effort, but unfortunately they couldn't score yesterday (Wednesday). In the second half, Australia came out and, since they had a chance, even if remote, they tried to advance in the World Cup. Well, the expected didn't happen. Germany did their homework against Ghana and qualified. We didn't," explained Pet, pointing out the 'flaws' of his country's team.
"What I saw in Serbia, even without knowing most of the players, is that they have discipline. They showed themselves to be strong, a true team. In the past, that was what our national team lacked. We had stars and talent, but we didn't show tactical application. On the other hand, I believe today's team lacks stars. The important thing is that it proved that Serbia is on the right track. They deserved to be in the World Cup and were just one goal away from advancing. That's football," Pet concluded.
