Striker Luiz Araújo participated for the first time this Friday (14) in the program “Resenha do Jogo”, on FlaTV, after coming off the bench and scoring two great goals, giving Mengão a 2-1 victory over Grêmio at Maracanã. The number 7, in addition to talking about his memorable performance, commented on the team, training and projected the next game. Check out some excerpts from the interview:

First goal

"It was a great goal. I spent all night watching the video. That power I got isn't easy to achieve, but I was very happy. We practice a lot of finishing and crossing; we have Bruno Henrique and Pedro, who are very strong in the air. Thank God it's working out. I'm very happy to be scoring and helping Mengão."

Second goal
"It's a play I always make in training. When I saw Kannemann coming, I thought about shooting under his leg, but if you watch the play, he'll close it out. So, I tried to flick it just past him and was very lucky with the shot. The ball hit the side of the net, giving the goalkeeper no chance."

Tite's guidance
"It's something we've always been practicing: long-range and inside-the-box finishing. What Tite asks most of us is precision, to score. One thing he told us is that Ronaldo was looking to hit hard down the middle, that if the ball curves, it'll go into the box, and I'm learning a lot from that."
