With a one-year contract, Felipe is already talking about a long-term deal with Flamengo.
Goalkeeper reveals he's in shape and intends to 'not just pass through' at Gávea.

Just days before officially starting his work at Flamengo, goalkeeper Felipe showed in his presentation, held last Wednesday (December 29.12th), that he will not shy away from the responsibility of taking on the Flamengo goal, defending more than 35 million passionate fans.
But anyone who thinks he was inactive, not working, and therefore out of shape, is completely mistaken. As he was in Europe, the goalkeeper confessed that he has only been out of action for a few days due to the end of the year, but he would be ready to take the field for a match if necessary.
"I've only been out of training for 12 days. If I had a game, I'd be 100% ready to play. I had an injury at Braga, but it was just muscle fatigue. I hope we can work well in the preseason to start 2011 already making a splash," said Felipe, who is already making future plans with the sacred jersey.
"I don't want to be here just passing through. I don't want to play for a year and leave. On the field there are no bushes, no walls, nowhere not to hide. One day I'm in heaven, the next in hell. But it's what I know how to do and I'm still here today, always giving my best."
And to achieve the aforementioned success and begin to chart his victorious path at Flamengo, Felipe believes in the group, which still includes many players who were Brazilian champions in 2009.
"The group didn't have a good year like in 2009, but it's a strong group, with many talented players. Now, with the pre-season, Vanderlei will get everything in order to assemble a strong group for 2011. I believe in that," he explained, revealing his only frustration upon signing with Flamengo.
"It's a shame not to have the Maracanã. I wanted to play in a classic match, with a full house, but unfortunately it will be under construction. However, who knows, maybe I can still be here when it reopens," he concluded.
