Matheus Cunha was the guest on FlaTV's "Resenha do Craque" this Tuesday (4) and commented on his good performance in the 2-0 victory over Fortaleza on Saturday night (1) at Maracanã. The young goalkeeper spoke about his first penalty save for Mais Querido, his good form in the red-black goal, as well as his relationship with Sampaoli and much more. First penalty saved as a professional
"To talk about the moment that preceded it, you have to talk about the analysts, the goalkeeping coaches, who study a lot and pass it on to us. If I'm not mistaken, we had 38 of his (Yago Pikachu's) penalties to analyze, to make the best decision. They make it clear that the decision is up to the goalkeeper, but we studied a lot the day before, we studied all the penalty takers to make the best decision, and I was happy, thank God."

Inspiration and conversations with Diego Alves
 "For me, he's the greatest penalty taker in the world, and I've had conversations every day working with him. I couldn't miss this opportunity. He's an inspiration, a role model, and he helps me a lot with all aspects of goalkeeping, on and off the field. With penalties, I couldn't pass up this opportunity. I had to ask him a few questions, and I have some tips."

 "At 16, I signed my first professional contract with São Paulo for three years. It was about to end, and we were going to renew it. We went into the contract renewal room, and I had the pen in my hand. My agent decided to wait a bit to see if this was really what I wanted, and then we decided to come to Flamengo."

Eleven games without conceding a goal
"I, especially, go onto the field wanting to leave without conceding a goal. With the goal netted, we're closer to victory, and we've worked hard for that. Knowing the difficulty of the game, and everything, you have to understand the circumstances well. Thank God, we've played more than half the games, and we're doing well."

Relationship with Sampaoli
"It's the best possible. I learn a lot from him and his staff every day; he tells me what he wants me to do. Sampaoli, for me, is one of the best coaches in the world; it's great to learn from someone of his caliber. Our relationship is very good, one of learning and trust."
