In the 26th round of the Brasileirão, Flamengo beat Juventude 3-1 on Wednesday night (13), at Maracanã. Mengão's goals were scored by Kenedy, Pedro and Andreas Pereira, in a beautiful free kick that ended the 1221-day drought. With the result, Mengão added 45 points, remained in second place in the championship and remains close behind the leader Atlético-MG.

The game
Flamengo started the match with a strong tempo and pressured Juventude in their own half. It didn't take long for Mengão to open the scoring! Kenedy raced down the right flank, played a one-two with Pedro, who backheeled the ball, beat his defender, and fired a powerful shot into the net, scoring his first goal for the Sacred Mantle: 1-0.

In the 25th minute, the Mais Querido extended their lead! Michael stole the ball in attack and crossed low into the middle of the six-yard box. Pedro, well-positioned as always, tapped it in for a 2-0 goal. The red-and-black team played very evenly across the field and suffocated Juventude, who were barely able to attack.

The drought is over! After 1221 days, Mengão scored again from a free kick, with a spectacular free kick from Andreas Pereira, who perfectly slotted it into the left corner of Douglas Friedrich's net: 3-0.

In the second half, Flamengo slowed down the game and began to prioritize passing. In the 11th minute, Juventude closed the gap with William Matheus, who headed the ball into the net after a corner kick: 3-1. Even after conceding the goal, Flamengo continued to have complete control of the match and maintained its advantage.

In the 39th minute, Andreas nearly scored another goal from a free kick. The ball hit the crossbar. In another strong collective performance, Mengão imposed their game and won with authority at the Maracanã Stadium.

Next appointment
Rubro-Negro returns to the field next Sunday (17) to face Cuiabá, at 20:30 pm, at Maracanã, for the 27th round of the Brazilian Championship.
