With two goals from Michael, Mengão beat Palmeiras 3-1 away from home
Pedro scored the other goal for Rubro-Negro, who opened the second half with a great victory.

Playing confidently throughout the 90 minutes, Flamengo turned the tables on Palmeiras and won 3-1 on Sunday afternoon (12), in a match valid for the 20th round of the Brasileirão, at Allianz Parque. The goals were scored by Michael (2) and Pedro. With the result, the team led by Renato Gaúcho reached 34 points and took third place in the competition.
The game
The match started evenly, with Palmeiras taking the lead in the 14th minute with a shot from Wesley. Undeterred, Mengão equalized with a beautiful goal. After a one-two, Everton Ribeiro reached the baseline and crossed for Michael, who headed the ball powerfully into the opposing goalkeeper's left corner. With the score tied, the game was more focused, but the Rubro-Negro nearly turned the game around in the 40th minute. Andreas Pereira took a shot from outside the box, but the ball fell to Vitinho, who fired a shot just wide of the post. It was the last dangerous play of the first half.
Rubro-Negro turned the match around with their first chance in the second half. In the 11th minute, Vitinho took a corner kick, Pedro headed it flawlessly, giving Weverton no chance: 2-1.
Michael then charged past two defenders and fired a low shot into the middle of the goal. In the 35th minute, Thiago Maia won the ball in midfield, led a counterattack, and passed it to Vitinho. The number 11 provided a beautiful assist for Michael, who burst into the box, dribbled past, and found the back of the net, making it 3-1.

The Most Beloved will now face Grêmio, next Wednesday (15), at 21:30 pm, at Maracanã, for the second leg of the quarterfinals of the Copa do Brasil.
