With two goals from Michael and one from Pedro, Mengão beat Fortaleza 3-0 at Castelão

On Saturday night (9), Flamengo took advantage of the chances created and beat Fortaleza 3-0, in a game valid for the 25th round of the Brazilian Championship, at Castelão. The goals were scored by Pedro and Michael (2). With the triumph, Rubro-Negro reached 42 points in the competition.

Flamengo's first good opportunity came in the sixth minute. Andreas took a corner kick, Leo Pereira headed powerfully, but the goalkeeper saved. Thiago Maia then crossed the ball, but it went just wide. In the 12th minute, Pedro played well as a pivot and passed to Andreas, who shot, but Felipe Alves saved. With the match still in balance, Flamengo had a chance with Pedro in stoppage time, but went into halftime tied at 0-0.
In the second half, Michael went to the baseline in the fourth minute and almost found Pedro in the six-yard box. The first goal came in the 14th minute! After Andreas' corner kick, Pedro appeared alone and headed the ball into the back of the net. The second came minutes later. Andreas took a free kick, the defense deflected it, and Michael made no mistake on the goalkeeper's rebound. In the 21st minute, Matheuzinho made a beautiful play, dribbling, and crossing perfectly for Michael, who scored with a header: 3-0 in a crushing fashion. From then on, the team controlled the match, without any scares, and held the score until the final whistle.
Next appointment
The team will now face Juventude next Wednesday (13), at 19 pm, at Maracanã, for the 26th round of the Brazilian Championship.
