With full focus on the Libertadores, Flamengo continued its preparations on Monday afternoon (23), at Ninho do Urubu, for the decisive clash against Peñarol, which takes place next Thursday (26), at 19 pm, at the Campéon del Siglo stadium. The match is valid for the second leg of the quarterfinals of the continental competition.
The players selected for the match against Grêmio have already returned to training at the training center. With that, coach Tite, who also traveled to Porto Alegre, resumed leadership of the activities.
It is worth remembering that assistant Matheus Bacchi was responsible for leading the training session last Sunday (22). The starters remained in Rio preparing for the duel with the Uruguayans. To advance to the next stage in the Libertadores, Mais Querido needs to beat Peñarol by two goals. If they win by one goal, the decision will go to penalties.
