With an almost complete squad, Flamengo continues preparations to face Juventude in the Brasileirão

Athletes who represented their teams in the Qualifiers returned to training at Ninho do Urubu this Thursday

With three days to go before the game against Juventude, coach Filipe Luís had four athletes return for training this Thursday (11), at Ninho do Urubu. Samuel Lino, Carrascal, Plata and Viña joined the red-black squad after representing their teams in the last two rounds of the World Cup Qualifiers. Next Sunday (14), Rubro-Negro faces the team from Caxias do Sul, at 16 pm, at Alfredo Jaconi, for the 23rd round of the Brasileirão.

Uruguayans Arrascaeta and Varela had already returned to training yesterday. Both were released by Uruguay before the final match of the FIFA World Cup. The right-back, in fact, developed a groin pain and has already begun treatment with the club's medical department.

The full-back began work on the field with physiotherapy this Wednesday (10).

Recovering from the fracture suffered in the fifth metatarsal of his right foot, on Friday (12) the midfielder will undergo a Computerized Tomography scan to monitor his progress.

Still experiencing pain in the posterior muscle of his left thigh, the player continues to receive treatment from Flamengo's Medical Department.


The red-black squad returns to training this Friday (12). On Saturday (13), the athletes will do an activity in the morning at the CT and then travel to Caxias do Sul. Leader of the Brasileirão with 47 points, Mengão will be looking for another victory to stay at the top of the classification table.
