After the red-black victory last Sunday (5), striker Pedro was invited to participate in the “Resenha do Jogo”, on FlaTv, this Monday (6) and told a little about his good performance in the match against Fortaleza, with a goal. The number 9 also spoke about his 101 goals with the Manto Sagrado and projected the next game, against Palmeiras, at Maracanã.
The dream of playing for Flamengo
"It's impossible to imagine achieving something of this magnitude. I used to go to Gávea to take photos with the players, I used to go to Maracanã to watch the games. My dream was to be a player, but God has done much more for me than I could have imagined, and today I'm a part of this club. Being part of Flamengo's history is incredibly rewarding, as are my individual achievements. I'm grateful to Flamengo and the players, because without them, I wouldn't have made it."
Your first goal
"I got goosebumps. My first goal at the Maracanã wearing a Flamengo jersey was incredible for me. That was the day I realized my dream of scoring for the Red-Blacks. It was the first goal of many."
Three goals against Vélez
"That was a day we'll never forget. It was a game that showed our strength, because playing in Argentina against Vélez, in a Libertadores semifinal, and achieving what we did, was something to be etched in our memories. And scoring a hat trick was beyond words to describe the moment we experienced."
Brazil Cup Final
"A final can't be easy. We played an excellent first half, but in the second we struggled to control the match; it got a bit more complicated, but that's football. A final is all about details. We could have scored more goals in the first half, but Corinthians were superior in the second half, deserving of the draw. It was very difficult to watch the penalties from the bench. I was there, praying and asking God, but I was undoubtedly satisfied, because we had a great championship, a great final too. We were much happier with the achievement, with the victory. Winning a title at Maracanã is incredible."
