A thrilling draw until the very end! In a match valid for the 18th round of the Brasileirão, Flamengo drew with Internacional 2-2 on Sunday night (25), at the Beira Rio stadium, in Porto Alegre. The goals for Rubro-Negro were scored by Pedro and Everton Ribeiro. With the result, Mengão reached 35 points and remains in second place in the championship with the same number of points as the Colorado team.

The game
The first half started electrifyingly, with Internacional putting pressure on the Flamengo team. Just six minutes in, the home side opened the scoring with Abel Hernández: 1-0. But Flamengo didn't hesitate and reacted quickly, equalizing the game in the 10th minute. Pedro turned past the Internacional defender, advanced freely and chipped the ball into the left corner of Marcelo Lomba's goal to make it 1-1.

Due to an individual error, Inter scored their second goal through Thiago Galhardo: 2-1. The Colorado team was marking the Flamengo team's ball distribution very well, making it difficult for them to exchange passes and create offensive plays. The first half ended with a minimal advantage for the home team.

Returning for the second half, Internacional hit the post just four minutes in with Marcos Guilherme. Flamengo responded quickly with Pedro, who volleyed the ball inside the area, but it went over the goal. In the 12th minute, the red-and-black team came close down the right with Isla, who passed to Pedro inside the area. The striker turned and shot, and Lomba made a great save. On the rebound, Filipe Luís volleyed the ball against the crossbar.

Flamengo blitz! At 21', Vitinho received the ball inside the area, passed Lomba and shot towards the goal. Heitor made the interception and on the rebound, Pedro headed the ball, but the defender cleared it off the line. At 30', Pedro made a great play on the right and crossed to the far post for Gerson to head, but the ball went over the bar. Flamengo were valiant, fought until the end and, at 49', managed to equalize! Gerson, on the left, cleared the play to the middle and found Everton Ribeiro to head the ball into the corner of the goal: 2-2.

And now?
The Most Beloved returns to the field next Wednesday (28) to face Athletico-PR, at 9:30 pm, at Arena da Baixada, in Curitiba. The match is valid for the first leg of the round of 16 of the Copa do Brasil.
