The game
Flamengo started the match attacking Coritiba and created an opportunity in the first minute. After Gerson, Arrascaeta, and Bruno Henrique exchanged passes, the number 27 sent a low cross into the box. Gabi attempted a shot, but the ball went wide.

With the majority of possession, the red-and-black team exchanged passes in the attacking half. In the eighth minute, Gerson found Arrascaeta with a good pass at the edge of the box; he attempted a shot, but the ball went over Gabriel's goal.

Despite a strong start, Coritiba took the lead. Filipe Luís brought down Robson inside the box, and the referee awarded a penalty. The striker himself stepped up to take the penalty and opened the scoring at Alto da Glória: 1-0.

And Mengão reacted quickly! Fabrício Bruno sent Wesley down the right, the right-back outpaced him and was brought down by Marcelino Moreno inside the box. The referee didn't hesitate in awarding the second penalty of the game. Gabi stepped up to take it and fired a powerful shot into the goalkeeper's left corner: 1-1.

The draw boosted the red-and-black team, which continued its attacking play and scored its second goal in the 30th minute. Bruno Henrique made a fine run down the left, passing two defenders, and delivering a perfect cross to Victor Hugo. The midfielder headed the ball to Arrascaeta, who was free in the six-yard box, who headed it past the goalkeeper to make it 2-1 at Couto Pereira.

In the final minutes of the first half, Gabi was released on the right and passed to Bruno Henrique, who was running free through the middle. The forward advanced and shot powerfully, but Gabriel saved. The Mais Querido started behind, equalized, turned the game around, and went into halftime with the advantage.

Less than a minute into the second half, Coritiba equalized again. Jamerson crossed from the left and Edu finished for the goal: 2-2. After the equalizer, Flamengo maintained control of possession, looking to exchange passes in the attacking half.

Coach Jorge Sampaoli made the first substitutions around the 15th minute. Filipe Luís and Victor Hugo came off, making way for Ayrton Lucas and Everton Ribeiro, respectively. Shortly after, Gabi was replaced by Luiz Araújo. In the 25th minute, Bruno Henrique attempted a volley, but the ball went wide.

Flamengo took the lead in the 37th minute. Luiz Araújo received the ball on the right side of the box and fired a shot aimed at the goalkeeper's right corner. The ball rose too high and went out for a goal kick.

Mengão was rewarded for its persistence, scoring a third goal in stoppage time. And it was a stunning goal! Thiago Maia stole the ball in midfield and passed it to Luis Araújo, who passed it to Gerson, who fired a beautiful shot into the top corner, leaving the goalkeeper with no chance: 3-2.

With the great goal, Rubro-Negro left Couto Pereira with a very important victory for the team's ambitions in the Brasileirão.
