On Wednesday night (12), Flamengo faced Atlético-PR in the third round of the Conmebol Libertadores Brigstone. With goals from Diego and Guerrero in the first half, Mais Querido won at the packed Maracanã by 2 to 1 and secured the three points, taking the lead in Group 4.

Flamengo started strong against Atlético-PR. From the outset, Zé Ricardo's team advanced and applied pressure, demonstrating an attacking approach at the Maracanã stadium.

In the seventh minute, Trauco sent a through ball to Guerrero, who controlled the ball, beat his marker, and took his first shot, which was cleared by the defense and headed over. The striker, however, didn't give up and scored Mengão's first goal.

Without giving their opponents a breathing space, Flamengo continued to build on their lead, risking shots and playing down the wings. In the 15th minute, Flamengo had another opportunity, and the ball fell to Diego, who fired a rocket into the top corner to extend the lead for the Mais Querido.

After the second goal, the red-and-black team continued to attack and pressure Atlético from start to finish. The best chance of the final minutes fell to Diego, who made a beautiful individual play and shot powerfully, but the ball hit the post.

During the second half, Flamengo continued to attack and tried to create good plays. Atlético-PR also sought a goal, and in the 13th minute, Nikão pulled one back for the visitors.

Managing the tempo, the Mais Querido controlled possession and created good opportunities, coming close to scoring a third. Despite the good opportunities, the score remained 2-1, securing another victory for the red-and-blacks and the lead in Group 4 of the CONMEBOL Libertadores.

Mais Querido's next match will be against Botafogo, in the semi-final of the Campeonato Carioca, on April 22nd or 23rd.
