After Flamengo defeated Fluminense 2-0 in the first leg of the Campeonato Carioca semifinal, Uruguayan midfielder De La Cruz was this week's guest on FlaTV's "Resenha do Jogo" (Game Review). The number 18 spoke about the last match, his relationship with the squad, and much more. Check out some excerpts from the interview:

90 minutes of pressure
"When we had an extra player, the team and I felt we could score more goals, and that was motivating. Even though we "had no legs left (tiredness)," that's when our heads had to work the hardest. I think the team needed to apply high pressure."

About Tite
"For me, he has a very similar way of managing a group to Marcelo Gallardo and Óscar Tabárez. I was very surprised by the respect shown, obviously. He's a coach with a fantastic track record, who has won many titles, and the closeness and transparency with which he treats players gives me a lot of confidence."

About the group
"What really characterizes the team is the group. We know that to win titles—that's the goal—we have to stick together. So, we're always doing things together so that later, on the field, the game runs more smoothly."
