The time has come. Now it's time to decide. Flamengo and Botafogo meet in the Copa do Brasil semifinal at the Maracanã, and only one will make it through to the final. Starting at 21:45 p.m. this Wednesday, Brazil's Biggest Fanbase will once again fill the world's most famous stadium to push the Most Beloved toward another final.

The first leg ended 0-0. Now, Flamengo needs a win to advance. Another goalless draw will lead to a penalty shootout. If the score is tied, the opponent will take the spot.
Coach Reinaldo Rueda hasn't given any hints about his lineup. Striker Guerrero will still undergo a test to determine if he'll play. Berrio has recovered and could play, as can Cuéllar and Renê. With Muralha's red card in the first leg, Thiago is expected to start in goal. At a press conference at the George Helal Training Center, the coach discussed his expectations for the match.
"Botafogo is a mature opponent, in good form, tactically obedient, and very dedicated. They can come out and press, or counterattack. They can present both options during the game."

Hi, Juan
Defender Juan also commented on the match. Flamengo's most experienced player could reach 300 appearances wearing the Sacred Mantle if he takes the field.
"It's going to be another very competitive game. Botafogo demands it. We have to be very alert to the away goal, play calmly, like we did at Engenhão, and score the goals we need."
Flamengo x Botafogo
Flamengo and Botafogo have faced each other a total of 370 times. Flamengo has the advantage, with 132 wins, 125 draws, and 113 losses. In the Copa do Brasil, the teams met in 2013, with the first leg drawing 1-1 and Flamengo winning the second leg 4-0, qualifying for the semifinals of that edition. Subsequently, Botafogo won the Copa do Brasil for the third time, defeating Atlético Paranaense in the final.
The teams had already decided the Brazilian Championship in 1992, with Flamengo again triumphing over their rivals. In the first game, Flamengo won 3-0, and with a draw in the second (2-2), the fifth national title went to Gávea.
