Proof of this is the average attendance for the "Mais Querido" (Most Beloved) team in their home games, all at the Maracanã stadium. In five matches, 210.866 Flamengo supporters were present: an average of 42.173 fans per game. A total of 198.300 tickets were sold, which gives an average of 39.660 paying fans per match. The total revenue was R$ 5.249.315,00.
The numbers make Flamengo the team with the best average attendance in Brazil in 2019 (both total attendance and paying spectators). In the ranking of paying spectators, Flamengo surpasses Palmeiras (2nd place) by a large margin: 10.554 fans. The advantage over Corinthians (3rd place) is 11.681 fans.
In Rio de Janeiro, Vasco (ranked 13th) is the team that comes closest to Flamengo. They are... An average of 13.158 paying fans per game: 26.502 fewer than Flamengo.
Among the four games with the highest paying attendance in the country, three feature Flamengo as the home team: Flamengo vs. Fluminense (1st), Flamengo vs. Cabofriense (2nd), and Flamengo vs. Bangu (4th).
