Volta Redonda (RJ) - The Flamengo delegation is already in Volta Redonda for Thursday's match (October 07.10th) at the Raulino de Oliveira Stadium. The red-and-blacks arrived in the Steel City during the afternoon of this Wednesday (October 06.10th) and are staying at a hotel. At 17:30 pm, the group will head to the stadium, where they will conduct a training session to familiarize themselves with the pitch at 18 pm.

The trip was uneventful, with many fans waving and honking at the Flamengo bus on the way to Volta Redonda. Upon disembarking at the hotel, the players also received a warm welcome from the local fans. Everyone posed for photos and signed autographs. Flamengo's new coach, Vanderlei Luxemburgo, was also heavily mobbed.

Among the red-and-black squad's roster, there are some new additions: young defender Marlon, who excelled in recent youth competitions, is expected to be on the bench. Chilean Fierro has also been called up for one match and will be an option for Luxemburgo.

It's worth noting that Flamengo's U-23 team also plays in Volta Redonda this Thursday. The young Flamengo talents, however, won't travel until the morning of the match. The match, against Vasco, will be the preliminary round for Flamengo's clash with Atlético-GO in the Brasileirão.
