With each new cycle, we all strive for a promising start, better known as the "right foot." And so, filled with optimism and positive results, Diego and Leandro Damião began their journey with the Sacred Mantle. In two matches, each player scored two goals. And best of all, Flamengo emerged victorious both times.

Against Grêmio, Leandro Damião found the net twice, but only one goal counted. First, a beautiful bicycle kick, which the referee disallowed to award a penalty in favor of the Red-Blacks. The penalty was perfect, and the ball found the back of the net. The number 18 made his mark at the Mais Querido by scoring the 12.000th goal in Flamengo's history.

Diego scored the winning goal in the second half. A cross from Pará was sent into the net by the number 35. Both goals were the players' first for Mengão.

In last Sunday's match (28), against Chapecoense, the two scored again. Diego opened the scoring with a beautiful right-footed goal, again after an assist from Pará. In the second half, Leandro Damião made a beautiful combination with Guerrero, who was awarded a penalty. Once again with competence, the number 18 scored the second goal for the red-black team in the game.

With both players fully utilized, Flamengo now prepares for the match against Figueirense on Wednesday in Cariacica. The match is part of the Copa Sudamericana, and Mengão needs to win by two goals—provided they don't concede two or more goals—to qualify.
