Felipe's debut for Flamengo was better than he himself expected: with a penalty save and no goals conceded. A good start, but one that doesn't make the goalkeeper complacent. Aware that he still has a long way to go with the red-and-black jersey, he dreams of titles and a chance with the Brazilian national team. However, he remembers that "a goalkeeper's life isn't easy" and that he's subject to anything.

Flamengo's new number 1 believes his first experience wearing the sacred jersey was very good. Despite it being "just a friendly," the goalkeeper highly values saving the penalty and his good performance.

"There are many already, but I'm not counting them (penalties saved). I was happy with my debut, knowing that, even in a friendly, it was good for me. If I had played badly, everyone would say I played badly. I'm really valuing that save. For a first game, I thought it was very good," said the goalkeeper, aware that he needs to continue working.

"Being a goalkeeper isn't easy. Only one plays. When someone is out due to a lack of skill, it's difficult to come back. If they play badly, it gets complicated. So I'm going to do everything I can to keep playing well all year, dedicating myself to it," he stated.

Felipe, who worked with the Brazilian national team coach, Mano Menezes, at Corinthians, is motivated to wear the yellow jersey this year. The goalkeeper believes that playing for Flamengo could give him even more visibility.

"Like any other athlete, I think about the changes that have occurred in the national team. I'm 26 years old and I've had the opportunity to work with Mano Menezes. I'm playing for a top team. If I play well and win titles, I'll be more visible. Anyone who is old enough and will stand out can certainly think about the World Cup and the national team," he concluded.
