Mengão's main squad finished preparations this Tuesday (1) for the match against Boavista, which will be held tomorrow (2), at 19:15 pm, at Raulino de Oliveira Stadium, for the third round of the Campeonato Carioca. It is worth mentioning that it will be the debut of Portuguese coach Paulo Sousa in command of Mais Querido.

Against the Saquarema team, Flamengo's professional team will make its debut in the 2022 season. The red-and-black players are coming off an intense preseason, led by the Mister and his coaching staff. Striker Marinho, officially presented this Monday (31), is already registered and available to make his debut with the Manto Sagrado.

It's always worth noting that the Red-Blacks have a decision to make in February. They face Atlético-MG in the Brazilian Super Cup on the 20th, at a venue yet to be determined.

Match history
Flamengo and Boavista have faced each other 19 times, with Mengão having a clear advantage. They have won 14, drawn four, and lost only one. The last meeting between the two teams ended in a 1-1 draw in the 2021 Cariocão Championship. Vitinho scored Flamengo's goal at the Eucy Resende Stadium in Bacaxá, Rio de Janeiro.
