Missing the games, Leo Moura praises the off-season

It's no secret that what soccer players really love is getting on the field for real. Playing important matches, winning titles... But for now, Flamengo, and all other teams in world soccer, are in an offseason due to the FIFA World Cup in South Africa. And the red-and-blacks didn't hide their longing for official matches, especially watching the World Cup matches on television.
"Of course it makes you miss it, right? It's hard to just watch and know that there's still time left to play. But, for now, we have to be content with this and work hard this offseason to get off to a good start in the Brazilian Championship," joked Leonardo Moura.
Despite this, the players believe that this offseason period is crucial for the rest of the year. The number 2 believes these days are important for the players to regain their physical fitness and also gain more chemistry.
"I believe it's been crucial for us to recover our condition. We had ten days off. You don't lose much, but it's obviously not the same. The Brazilian Championship is a very difficult tournament; we have to prepare and have time to work to try to repeat last year's success," he added.
Having spent five years at Gávea, Leonardo Moura has already won three state championships, a Brazilian championship, and a Brazilian Cup. The full-back has played 279 matches and has scored 37 goals and provided 51 assists.
