Flamengo's squad returned to training this Thursday afternoon in Gávea. Coach Caio Júnior led the first collective training session of the week to prepare the red-and-black team for Sunday's decisive match against Atlético-PR at Arena da Baixada.

With Ibson, Kleberson, and Obina suspended, Caio Júnior started Vandinho and Tardelli up front and moved Marcelinho Paraíba back to the fourth midfield role. Léo Moura and Juan, who were doubtful, trained normally and are confirmed for Sunday.

In the first half of the training session, Caio Júnior lined up Flamengo with: Bruno; Jailton, Dininho, and Ronaldo Angelim; Léo Moura, Airton, Toró, Marcelinho Paraíba, and Juan; Diego Tardelli and Vandinho. Fábio Luciano didn't start training with the starters only because he was attending the Superior Court of Justice (STJD) trial. With this formation, the main team performed well during the nearly 30-minute training session, winning 2-0, with goals from Diego Tardelli and Toró. Playing in his original position, Marcelinho Paraíba was the standout performer in the first half, providing the assists for the winning goals.

In the second half, three changes were made to the starting lineup. Fábio Luciano replaced Dininho, and Fierro and Everton replaced Léo Moura and Juan, who were rested. The main team maintained the same rhythm and almost extended their lead with Everton, Marcelinho, and Tardelli, but Marcelo Lomba was in inspired form and saved the reserves.
