There will be six games in four weeks. Five of them in Rio de Janeiro. Two classics, against Botafogo and Vasco. And the month of October has become crucial for Flamengo's campaign in the 2010 Brazilian Championship. Sitting fifteenth in the standings, the Rubro-Negro will have a great opportunity to determine its position in the competition in the coming rounds. Among the opponents they will face in the next 30 days are teams fighting for the title and direct rivals seeking to escape the bottom of the standings.

"We have to think about each game individually. First we have Botafogo, then Atlético Goianiense, and step by step, we have to climb slowly, calmly. The focus is on the three points in the derby, then it will be on the game in Volta Redonda, and so on. We know we need to fix some things, and our goal, firstly, is to escape this uncomfortable zone, and then we can think about flying higher," analyzed goalkeeper Marcelo Lomba.

For defender David, each match must be treated as a true championship final. He believes this is a time for unity in pursuit of maximum positive results, rallying the fans behind the team and maintaining high spirits as a weapon against potential criticism.

"We need to stay united and focused on winning. We know the difficulties and we have to approach every game as a final. It's time for grit and unity to make a difference," observed the defender, whose words were echoed by striker Diogo.

"The Brazilian Championship is very difficult, there are no easy games, especially in decisive moments. We'll face opponents who are fighting for important things in the table, whether at the top or bottom, and we'll need a lot of composure to get the points," he added.
