Jorge Jesus made his debut in a 1-1 draw against Athletico-PR in the 2019 Copa do Brasil and managed the team in 52 games (39 wins/9 draws/4 losses), with an 80% success rate (including the Fla 3-1 Bahia match where Jesus was suspended due to his third yellow card and could not be on the sidelines). With Flamengo, Jesus won the Libertadores and the 2019 Brazilian Championship, as well as the 2020 Supercopa do Brasil, the 2020 Recopa Sudamericana, and the 2020 Taça Guanabara.
