Marcelo Lomba's dedication has always been a factor praised by everyone at Flamengo. Since his youth career, the now-starter for the Rubro-Negro first team has always been known for working hard to achieve his goals. Perhaps that's why the goalkeeper so quickly earned the trust of his teammates and the coaching staff.

One of Lomba's closest players on the squad is defender Ronaldo Angelim. They both live in Copacabana and have a good relationship off the field, too. That's why the number 4 celebrated the goalkeeper's strong performance against Botafogo last Wednesday (July 14.07).

"Lomba and I are very good friends. We live close to each other and talk all the time. The group has complete trust in him. He's always been very confident. What we see of him on a daily basis gives this feeling to the squad, and it's proven that he's capable of taking on this position. I hope he's a starter for a long time," he said.

According to Angelim, this is the sentiment of the entire red-and-black squad. The defender says the squad has no doubt that he will achieve great success in his career.

"He's a wonderful person. We ride the bus together to training at Ninho, and we get along really well. He's a beloved player, made in Gávea, and everyone really likes him. I'm sure he'll be successful here," he concluded.
