The team's pre-match concentration for Saturday's (November 20.11th) game against Guarani was brought forward by the coaching staff. They normally concentrate the day before the game, but this time they had to leave home two days before kickoff. But for an occasion where the sacrifice is worthwhile, the Flamengo players believe.
Team captain and right-back Leonardo Moura believes this kind of unity is important at such a crucial moment in the Brazilian Championship. After all, the match against Bugre is seen as a decisive game for the red-and-black team.
"Anything goes. This situation is more than a final for Flamengo. We need this rest, to be together, to talk. It's something that gives us peace of mind. Concentration is important at this moment," he stated.
Leo assures that the team knows they can't afford to slip up and promises great effort and determination from everyone in the match against the Campinas team. Confident, he believes in a victory.
"Everyone knows we can't let our guard down at the end of the competition. We're going to get a good result by playing well in this match and doing what we've already planned in training," he concluded.
