Confidence in Vinícius Pacheco's scoring ability
The midfielder scored twice against Olaria in a training match and wants to repeat his success against Botafogo.

Against Olaria, in the final training match before the derby, he scored two goals. He also made his mark against Botafogo in the State Championship. In his professional career with Flamengo, he scored six goals, four of them this year. Therefore, the scoring ability that Vinícius Pacheco has been developing in training is one of coach Rogério Lourenço's weapons for this Wednesday's match (July 14.07).
Encouraged by the positive record in recent training sessions, Vinícius hopes to repeat his success in the match against Botafogo.
"I've been trying to work hard in my finishing training. I've had success in practice matches, and now I hope to repeat that in the game, which is the most important thing. Our goal is to win," said the player, who believes he can use his main characteristic, speed, to surprise his opponent.
"My main characteristic is my sprinting and I've been getting along well with my teammates in training. I hope to make the most of my speed to help the team," he noted.
Avoiding comparisons with Vagner Love and Adriano, Rogério Lourenço will field Pacheco alongside Diego Maurício in the starting attacking duo for the derby. He's confident his young forwards will perform well.
"We know that Flamengo fans want to see a lot of fighting, a lot of spirit, and we're trying to build a strong team, as Flamengo has always been. We scored goals in every game in the first half of the year, and that's important. You can't compare Love and Adriano to anyone else. Diego is 19, Pacheco is a promising player who's starting to play well again, and I'm trying to instill as much confidence in them as possible. I hope they can seize this opportunity," Rogério added.
