Marcelo Lomba overcame his doubts, established himself as the goalkeeper with the fewest goals conceded in the first half of the Brazilian Championship, and won over Flamengo fans with his dedication and loyalty to the club. He recently faced a difficult moment when he failed in the match against Ceará, but he learned a lesson from his mistakes for his future and his professional development.

The goalkeeper sees the support of his teammates and the coaching staff as crucial. Lomba, who is always one of the first to arrive and one of the last to leave training, believes he's growing during his nearly six-month tenure as a starter.

"Here at Flamengo, I have friends. On and off the field. Vanderlei gave me all the support, and my teammates' support was crucial too. And all of this is a growth process for me. I'm always one of the first to arrive and one of the last to leave. I want to always be prepared and learning, because I haven't even been playing for six months. I think I'm having a good season. Adverse results happen, and I'm here to overcome that," said the goalkeeper, who admitted to being dejected in the match against Ceará.

"I was upset because we won the game, but I knew that my idols, Julio Cesar and Taffarel, also failed, but are known for the victories they had. That's what I did against Altéico-PR: I went in with my head held high," he noted.

About to begin a decisive sequence in the Brazilian Championship, Lomba says he is ready for this new challenge.

"It's going to be a great game, where we need total concentration, and I'm confident in my own game and that of the group. I have their trust, the coach's, and I'm ready for this crucial moment. We have four decisions to make," he concluded.
