On Monday, Flamengo signed another player to join its roster this season: left-back Renê. The player, born in Picos, Piauí, previously played for Sport and signed a contract with the Mais Querido.
The full-back will be presented this Tuesday (07), after the squad's activities at the George Helal Training Center.
Renê began playing soccer for Picos, his hometown, and soon attracted the attention of Sport, where he had been trained in the youth divisions. He was promoted to the professional team in 2012 and began playing two years later under coach Eduardo Baptista. That season (2014), he played all 38 Série A matches. For the Pernambuco team, the full-back played in the Copa Sudamericana, Brasileirão, Copa do Brasil, Campeonato Pernambucano, and Copa do Nordeste, winning the latter two titles.
