Itu (SP) - Flamengo's board of directors opted to take the red-and-black squad away from Rio de Janeiro during the off-season. The reason for choosing the city of Itu is easily understood upon entering the Spa Sport Resort, where the squad is staying and will train until next Wednesday (July 07.07).

The spa features 32 apartments, a leisure area with a swimming pool, multi-sport courts, a fishing lake, an internet café, a game room, and a home theater. The spa also offers nutrition and beauty services for its guests. For the club's soccer team, in addition to accommodations, there are two official fields, locker rooms, a heated pool, and a gym with professional equipment. The spa was approved by the players and the coaching staff.

"We know the players don't like to stay focused, but it's important to come here. It's a peaceful place where we can be together and work in two shifts practically every day. This is good, because we'll return to the Brasileirão flying," analyzed right-back Leonardo Moura.
