This Sunday (September 19.09th), Fla faces rival Fluminense needing a victory to solidify its position in the Brasileirão, and the support of the fans is considered fundamental by the players for this to happen.
"I invite the fans to come and support us, because we really need their support right now. Although Fluminense is in a very good moment, we know that the chances of winning the game are equal. There is respect on both sides and I know it will be a great derby," urged defender Ronaldo Angelim.
Last Wednesday (September 15.09th), the Flamengo fans packed the Prudentão stadium in Presidente Prudente and didn't stop cheering on the team during the match against Grêmio. This has been happening all over Brazil, which motivates the players even more.
"The Flamengo fans have great respect for us, and it's not without reason. Even before the victory, the fans never stopped encouraging us. This is important. We are working hard, we know we need the result on the field, but we count on their presence and hope to repay them with a great game and a great result," observed midfielder Correa, whose words were reinforced by attacking midfielder Renato.
