He emerged as a promising player, suffered from excessive expectations and injuries, and found in Flamengo the great opportunity to turn his short career around. Marquinhos, only 20 years old, appeared on the national scene in 2008, when with his disconcerting dribbles, precise assists and goals, wearing the Vitória jersey, he was one of the revelations of the Brazilian Championship.

His success earned him a transfer to Palmeiras, where he failed to establish himself, suffered injuries, and had a forgettable spell. He returned to Vitória and received a second chance to shine: at Flamengo. Now, under the command of Vanderlei Luxemburgo, who brought him to Palmeiras, he hopes to perform to his full potential and follow the path everyone has expected since two years ago.

And the number 38 shirt has already started to show his worth in the red-and-black jersey. He provided two assists in the last few games he played and hopes to prove to the coach that he is capable of being useful. Ownership - I hope so, I'm working towards that. If Vanderlei needs me, he knows he can count on me. It's good to work with experienced coaches, and Vanderlei is one of them. I'm happy to see him again. He brought me to Palmeiras, but I didn't have a good time there because of injuries. He knows me, he knows my style of play, and he'll look for the best formation for him. He knows what he's doing.

South American - We need to get out of this situation and focus on the Copa Sudamericana. We need composure to win the upcoming games. The situation is somewhat complicated, but we are a big team and we know the responsibility we have.

Space in the team - I'm working hard to earn my place. I'm there every day, keeping my feet on the ground, chasing after it. I went through a difficult time at the club. With Silas (former coach), I was going to the bench but not getting any playing time. I even trained and played a game for the under-23 team to get back into the rhythm of the match.

Flamengo - Playing for Flamengo is a great joy for me. It's a great club, with wonderful fans, and I hope to bring a lot of joy to everyone here.

Evolution - There are still some aspects I need to improve in; I have to keep my feet on the ground and continue working calmly. I'm happy, for sure, but I know I still have a lot to do here. Now it's about continuing the work, keeping striving, working hard every day, to establish myself and be able to play more time, maybe 45 or 90 minutes, if the coach chooses.

Positioning - I don't have a preference. To help, you can't choose a position, but I'm playing as a midfielder and forward, which are the two roles I like to play, and it's not a big problem. I'll give my all regardless of how I play. The coach is a great coach, he's giving us support, and everyone has their heads in the right place and their feet on the ground to have a great championship.
