Flamengo's board announced this Thursday the decision to suspend midfielder Juninho Paulista's contract due to a serious foul committed during halftime of the match against Defensor Sport, in the locker room of the Centenario Stadium in Montevideo. Flamengo's directors announced that this Friday, lawyer Michel Assef Filho will begin talks with Juninho's representatives to find a solution that will satisfy both parties. Given the player's past and his services to Brazilian soccer and Flamengo, the Flamengo club has no intention of creating any obstacles to the athlete's professional career.
