Of the last 12 points, only one has been earned, dropping them to fourteenth place in the standings. The alarm bells are ringing in Gávea. Just four points above the relegation zone, but still close to the top four, Flamengo knows they can continue to fight for positive results in the competition.

"Our responsibility increases because we haven't won in so long. We're all upset, but there's no time to complain. Santos is a tough opponent, but we have to shake off the bad impression. We need to climb the table and win again. We look at the standings, and the negative aspects bother us. But two wins can put us in a better position," he said.

The number 7 emphasized that the competition is balanced and that there's no room for compromise. He believes that dropped points could make all the difference in the decisive stages of the competition.

"The Brazilian Championship is balanced, and if a team stays in the relegation zone for too long, they end up not being able to get out. We need to be careful. Today, teams have learned how to compete in the competition. There's a points count to stay out of the relegation zone. We can't ignore that. We need to keep our eyes open. If we spend too much time there, we end up not having time. We have a team to fight at the top. That's our goal," he stated.

Correa also emphasized the importance of Flamengo selecting players in good physical condition for upcoming matches. The player is well aware of the difficulties of re-adapting to Brazilian football after a long time playing abroad, as is the case with Renato, and predicts a natural evolution for the red-and-black team.
