Correa celebrates his return to the Flamengo team
Midfielder served suspension against Corinthians and hopes to return with victory against Ceará

Midfielder Correa experienced the experience of being a Flamengo fan from afar last Sunday (08.08). Unable to play due to a suspension, the player had to watch the match against Corinthians from home. But next Saturday (14.08), the Rubro-Negro's number 7 will be able to do what he loves most again: enter the field and help his teammates in the duel with Ceará, which is of fundamental importance for Flamengo in the competition.
The experienced player quickly became a trusted figure for Rogério Lourenço and the Red-Black team. Aware of his responsibility, he hopes to return to the team on the right foot.
"We know how important this match is, and I can't wait to get back to playing. Being out is always very bad. You want to help your teammates, but you can't. But on Saturday, I hope to return in good shape, and I'll do my best to ensure Flamengo leaves the field with a victory," said the defensive midfielder, who believes Renato Abreu could be a great addition to the Flamengo midfield.
"Any quality player is always welcome, especially a player like Renato, who, in addition to his talent, is also identified with the club. I'm sure he'll help us a lot," he noted.
In Correa's opinion, however, in addition to the 11 players on the field, the one who can make the difference in favor of the Gávea team is the fans.
"The fans are essential. Flamengo's strength with its fans at Maracanã is enormous and we hope the fans come and support the team because, without a doubt, the team will do its best to give back on the field," he concluded.
