Correa predicts a quick integration in the midfield
Midfielder says that with Willians, Kleberson and Petkovic it is easier to develop good football

Correa's entry into Flamengo's starting lineup appears to be a permanent fixture. Signed midway through the year, the midfielder is expected to make his debut for Flamengo next Sunday (July 18.07) against Atlético-GO at the Serra Dourada stadium. Having worked hard for two weeks, he believes he won't have any issues integrating with the rest of the group and is full of praise for his midfield teammates.
According to the midfielder, having players like Willians, Kleberson, and Petkovic alongside him makes his mission easier. As the first midfielder, Correa knows his role on the field: to ensure quality passing from defense to attack for Flamengo.
"The teamwork comes with the consistency of the work. I'll have quality players alongside me, like Willians, Kleberson, and Pet, which makes things much easier. I'm playing a more defensive role, but I'm also providing quality passing and passing, connecting defense and attack," he said.
The player also believes that the key ingredients for Flamengo to earn points in the Brasileirão are defensive solidity and dedication. Correa believes that if everyone helps out in the defense, as they did against Botafogo, the team has a chance to fight for the top spots.
"Defensive solidity is important. Flamengo has two full-backs who are different from what we see in Brazilian football today. So they need to have very good protection. I hope this can continue, with everyone helping in the marking. The defense starts in the attack, with the forwards pressing the marking when the ball comes out. The team is compact," he added.
