Correa wants a strong team on Saturday

Midfielder says the desire to win could make the difference in a balanced duel with Palmeiras

Two major clubs, among the most successful in the Brazilian Championship, are looking to move further away from the relegation zone and get closer to the fight for the top spots. These are Flamengo and Palmeiras, who face each other on Saturday (24/09) at the Engenhão stadium, promising a well-balanced duel with high expectations.

For experienced midfielder Correa, who played for Alviverde for a long time, one factor that could make the difference in this duel, in addition to technical quality and tactical discipline, is the psychological aspect.

"We have to go out on the field with a lot of determination, with the desire to win. The team is improving, but we're going to face an opponent that's also growing, that's also looking for the top spots, so we're going out on the field with full motivation," he said.

Having gone four games without losing in the Championship and playing in a stadium where they have never suffered a setback (nine games at Engenhão, with seven wins and two draws), Flamengo wants to maintain their unbeaten streak against the São Paulo team.

"Of course, this kind of number is motivating, and we know that the key is to get at least one point per game. We can't think about losing; we have to maintain this unbeaten streak for as long as possible to continue climbing the table," he added.
