Flamengo fans weren't the only ones left devastated by the loss to Guarani last Sunday (August 29.08) in Campinas. Flamengo's players were also upset by the negative result and lamented the way the Flamengo team turned the game around. However, midfielder Correa believes there are positives to be taken into consideration in the match.
The player admits that this type of defeat cannot be repeated, especially for the current Brazilian champion who dreams of the second consecutive title in the competition.
"Of course, we were disappointed by the way the result happened. We lost the game in two, three minutes, and that can't happen to a team that thinks big. These are points that could be missed in the future," he said.
However, the number 7 remembers that Flamengo dominated the match for most of the 90 minutes and shows confidence in the work of the new coach, Silas, to start a run in the Brasileirão.
"We also have to highlight the good performance we played. We ended up losing the game and were sad about the whole situation, but now with the arrival of the new coach, we hope the job will be done in the best way possible and we can make a run in the competition," he concluded.
