Speed, ball control, and dribbling are basic and essential characteristics of a futsal player, and 18-year-old Guilherme believes he brought these skills from the courts to his success on the pitch with Flamengo's youth academy. After training as a starter for the Rubro-Negro first team this Saturday (November 06.11), he's expected to start against Atlético-PR on Sunday (November 07.11) and has the support of his teammates.

His roommate, fellow fan Renato, is one of the people who talks to Guilherme the most. According to him, having the opportunity to spend time with a player who has won titles and become an idol of the red-and-black fans is important right now.

"He helps me a lot. We talk in the room, he gives tips, he's a very experienced guy. He tells me about my posture, which has to be different among professionals, he helps me on the field... Everyone is helping me, joking with me. The group is very good to be around, everyone is happy and gives me a lot of strength," he said.

In a football world with fast and skillful players standing out, such as Cristiano Ronaldo, Messi and Nani, Guilherme says he doesn't have a specific idol, but rather pays attention to the main characteristics of each of these great players.

"I always admire fast players who hit the ball well. I don't have a guy I look up to. I like watching football, I watch the championships, and I like those who are skillful," he added.
