A product of Flamengo's youth academy, Léo Nannetti will participate in the Brazilian National Team's training sessions for the 2026 FIFA World Cup.
The 18-year-old goalkeeper will follow the entire preparation and journey of the National Team during the competition.

Goalkeeper Léo Nannetti, 18, has been called up by the Brazilian national team's coaching staff for training during the 2026 World Cup and will participate in all of the national team's preparations until the end of Brazil's participation in the tournament.
A product of Flamengo's youth academy since the age of eight, Nannetti has played over 300 games for the club and completed his entire development at Ninho do Urubu (Flamengo's training center). The 1,93m tall goalkeeper had already been closely observed by the national team's coaching staff and has received call-ups to the youth teams.
"When I received the news, I was very happy and grateful to be able to be with the Brazilian National Team again, but this time, at the World Cup.", the athlete shared.
The young player has already had recent experiences with professional teams. After finishing as runner-up in this year's U-20 Libertadores Cup with Flamengo in Quito, Ecuador, he was integrated into the Brazilian delegation in the United States for the last preparatory friendlies before the World Cup squad announcement. Furthermore, he participated in the pre-seasons with the Flamengo first team in 2024, under Tite, and in 2025, with Filipe Luís.

Léo Nannetti gained national prominence especially after winning the 2025 U-20 World Cup. In the final against Barcelona at the Maracanã, the goalkeeper was one of Flamengo's standout players, making important saves in regulation time and stopping two penalty kicks in the shootout that secured the team's second intercontinental title in the category.
This performance also caught the attention of the Brazilian National Team's coaching staff. In 2025, after a training period at Granja Comary, goalkeeping coach Taffarel highlighted the attitude and potential of the young Flamengo player:
"He's a really cool kid. I didn't even realize he was the goalkeeper in that Under-20 World Cup final. He has great potential, I liked him, especially because he's an 18-year-old and already has a professional attitude. I'm sure he'll bring a lot of joy to Flamengo.""That's what the national team's goalkeeping coach said at the time."
Léo Nannetti has a contract with Flamengo until the end of 2029.
