On Thursday afternoon (May 28.05), Cristóvão Borges led his first training session as Flamengo's coach at the George Helal Training Center. The players began by performing physical and technical work under the supervision of new physical trainer Rodrigo Poletto. Pará, Alecsandro, Bressan, and Marcelo ran laps around the field. Almir, who fractured his left elbow, did not train.
