Cristóvão: "It will be a great game"

Rubro-Negro coach expects a disputed classic

By - in
After training this Friday (26.06), at the Gávea headquarters, coach Cristóvão Borges spoke to the press. The Flamengo commander reiterated his confidence in goalkeeper César, shared his expectations for the Clássico dos Milhões and commented on Flamengo's squad.

Check out the main moments:

César's first classic
Every player who spends a long time on the bench has the greatest desire to get a chance to play. He's ready. Of course, I didn't want it to be this way, but it happened. César has a lot of desire and a lot of potential. We trust him and are at peace.

Expectations for the match
Regardless of the derby, the need for victory is great for both teams. Wherever it is, there's a fierce rivalry, and it will be a closely contested and evenly matched game. Whoever emerges victorious will emerge stronger. We need the result, and so does Vasco; it will be a great game.

Training in Gávea
It's always good to see the fans nearby; the fans also want to see the athletes. But everything has its time. Flamengo has the privilege of having a Training Center, and it's great to work there too.

Little time to train
The first week was tough, playing and recovering the team. After that, we were able to continue working more, and we improved in many areas, but we have to back that up with results. When that happens, everyone grows together.

Guerrero
We were all very happy with Guerrero's performance yesterday, not just the fans. Even if he doesn't play against Corinthians, he'll still have plenty of matches to play. The Brazilian Championship has 38 rounds.
