Cuca keeps an eye on Inter's attacking trio
The red-black coach praises the attack of the red team formed by Nilmar, D'Alessandro and Taison.
By Flamengo Archive - inAfter Tuesday afternoon's recreational training session in Gávea, coach Cuca heaped praise on Internacional, Flamengo's opponent in tomorrow's Copa do Brasil quarterfinal match. According to the red-and-black coach, the team's attacking trio of Nilmar, D'Alessandro, and Taison, combined with the quality of Magrão, Guiñazu, and Kleber, make coach Tite's team very strong.
"Inter has a very good team, one of the best in Brazil. They have a strong and fast attacking trio, but they also have Magrão, Guiñazu, and Kleber, who are also great players. It's not just the attacking trio; the whole team is very strong. But we won't change our approach. We know it's a very important game, and we're prepared. Now we need to mobilize our full strength, in every sense, and go all out to win the match. We know our strength and believe in our potential. These will be two very competitive matches."
Cuca made a point of saying that supporter Zé Roberto, who will remain at Flamengo, has his complete confidence.
"Sometimes we evaluate a player before the ideal time, and that's how I feel about Zé. Honestly, I'm very happy he didn't leave. It was an offer from Cruzeiro, and he himself didn't want to go because he felt he had to prove his worth at Flamengo. He wanted to stay here from the start. It would be a premature and hasty departure. He's not just any player. He's already won a lot in his life and will definitely help us a lot. I'll give him the opportunity to have better movement in the other games, coming from behind, as he likes."
