By unanimous vote, coach Cuca was acquitted of the allegation of violation of article 188 (Disrespectful or offensive statements against members of the powers of sports entities or the Sports Court).

Cuca was denounced by the Prosecutor's Office for having said in a press conference that the president of the TJD/RJ, Antônio Vanderler, lied by not granting a suspensive effect that had been promised, according to him, for the decision of the second round of the Campeonato Carioca.

The red-black coach attended the trial and asked the president of the fourth commission of the TJD/RJ, Jaime Santoro, to speak.

"I must have misunderstood. He must have told me he would look into it, and I assumed he would suspend me. I never intended to call anyone a liar. I apologize if I offended anyone."
